How to remove duplicate values in Microsoft Excel

 Removing duplicate values in Excel is a feature we might need to use when we have a long list of repeating items and would like to know the exact count or to remove the duplicates.

Above is a list of repeating items and let remove the repeating duplicate items.

Go to the "Data" tab in the menu list.

Select the list of items from which you want to remove the duplicate entries.

Click on "Remove Duplicates".

You'll be asked to select the column just in case you selected multiple columns.

Click "OK".

 Very simple. The duplicate items have been removed and we are left with the unique values.

The dialog box will show you a count of the number of duplicate items that were removed and the number of unique values that remain.
